I
was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I attended Texas Tech University for college. In 2007 I received a
BFA in Studio Art and then in 2008,
a BFA in Visual Studies. While at Tech, I changed my major several times. I started out as a Fashion Design major
and switched to Photography. In the summer of 2006, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy. My instructor
suggested I combine my photography with painting. The Italian architecture and countryside provided me with the perfect
backdrop to begin painting. The knowledge I obtained in each of these fields can be found in my work through a blend
of paint, fashion and photography. While in Lubbock I not only received my Teaching Certificate for ART EC-12,
I taught Middle School Art for two years. Recently I have relocated back to Austin and am currently working at
AMOA (Austin Museum of Arts) at Laguna
Gloria. I will continue my love of art whether it be painting,
photography, fashion design or teaching.
